Georgian Geographical Journal (GGJ) is peer-reviewed and Open Access journal. It aims to strengthen the academic exchange of results in all fields of Natural and Human Geography research between Georgia, the Caucasus region, and other neighboring countries. Journal reflects the latest geographical research achievements, related to the spatial patterns at the Earth's surface, as well as global issues and regional comparisons.

GGJ recognises and follows worldwide publishing norms and best practices. It adheres to the internationally accepted values and practices of the Publishing Ethics Committee's (COPE) basic principles.

By publishing online in GGJ, authors have the opportunity to publish extensive datasets and any amount of colour images.

The open access policy of GGJ ensures that articles published in the journal are easily accessible to a wide audience, maximizing their visibility. Every paper published in GGJ is freely and permanently available online as soon as it is published with no fees or registration requirements. The GGJ provides an efficient publication schedule while maintaining strict peer review standards. All manuscripts must be submitted online, and the peer review process is entirely managed electronically. Upon acceptance, articles will be published in a formatted PDF along with their final citation.

GGJ publishes two issues a year, every June and December.
